An ancient statue of Lord Vishnu was discovered in a river roughly 1600 kilometers away from Ramnagar Ayodhya. The unique feature is that this Lord Vishnu statue resembles the Ramlala statue. Experts estimate that this statue is almost a thousand years old. Along with the Lord Vishnu statue, an ancient Shivalinga has also been discovered.

Ayodhya Ramlala Idol: An ancient idol of Lord Vishnu was discovered in the Krishna River in Karnataka’s Raichur district. It is said that this statue is strikingly similar to the freshly completed Ramlal statue in Ayodhya. Archaeologists estimate that this old idol dates back to the 11th or 12th century. Dashavatars are engraved around the halo of this Lord Vishnu monument, the same as they are on the Ramlala statue.

According to sources, the most amazing thing about this unique coincidence is that the look and appearance of this thousands of years old statue is quite similar to that of Ramlala built in Ayodhya. At the same time, it is also being said that along with this idol of Lord Vishnu, an ancient Shivalinga has also been found.

Will be part of the sanctum sanctorum of a temple

Dr. Padmaja Desai, lecturer of ancient history and archeology at Raichur University, said regarding the statue of Lord Vishnu, it must have definitely been a part of the sanctum sanctorum of a temple. Probably it might have been thrown into the river to save it from vandalism in the temple. This statue has suffered some damage. Vigraha’s nose is slightly damaged.

There is a special carving on the statue of Lord Vishnu

According to Dr. Desai, Lord Vishnu’s idol features unique carvings. At the same time, Lord Vishnu’s Dashavatars have been etched onto the halo. It is reported to have been adorned with Matsya, Kurma, Varaha, Narasimha, Vaman, Ram, Parashuram, Krishna, Buddha, and Kalki. Lord Vishnu is represented as a standing statue with four hands. Two hands are raised aloft, clutching a conch and a chakra. At the same moment, the two hands are bent straight downwards in a blessing stance. One is Kati Hasta, and the other is Varad Hasta.

According to sources, there is no depiction of Garuda on this idol. Whereas Vishnu idol has Garuda. It is said that this idol is similar to Lord Venkateshwara mentioned in the scriptures. Desai further said that Lord Vishnu likes decorations, hence he has been decorated with garlands and jewelry.
