It concerns the creation and execution of the excise policy for 2021–2022 by the Delhi government, which was subsequently overturned, and involves corruption and money laundering. Sanjay Singh, a member of the Rajya Sabha, and former deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia are being held in judicial custody. The ED has alleged that the accused were in touch with Kejriwal to formulate the excise policy, which resulted in undue benefits to them and in return they paid bribes to AAP.
