How much was sold

Vehicle manufacturers like Maruti, Skoda, Volkswagen, Honda and Hyundai offer the best cars in the mid-size sedan car segment in the country. According to the report released by SIAM, during February 2024, demand for SUVs and hatchbacks as well as mid-size sedan cars was seen across the country. A total of 6002 units were sold in this segment across the country last month. Whereas in February last year, the total sales of these cars were 5721 units.

This sedan car was in highest demand

Hyundai’s Verna had the highest demand in the country during February 2024. According to the report, the company has sold a total of 1678 units of this mid-size sedan car in the last month. Whereas in the same period last year, the company had sold only 47 units of this car.

Volkswagen stood second

Virtus is offered by Volkswagen as a mid-size sedan. The company sold a total of 1631 units of this SUV during February 2024. Last year in February 2023, the total sales of this sedan car were 1563 units.

Honda came at third place

City is also offered in this segment by Japanese car manufacturer Honda. This sedan car has been liked in India for about 27 years. A total of 1184 units of this car were sold in the last month. Whereas during February 2023, 1963 units were sold.

Skoda Slavia also became a choice

Like Volkswagen’s Virtus, Skoda’s Slavia is also brought as a mid-size sedan. This sedan car of the company sold 1028 units during February 2024. Whereas last year this car was bought by 1356 people.

Low sales of Maruti Ciaz

Ciaz is offered in this segment by the country’s largest automobile manufacturer Maruti Suzuki. Only 481 units of this car of the company have been sold during February 2024. Last year in the month of February this car was purchased by 792 customers.
