After North Korea, South Korea on Friday successfully launched its first spy satellite from a US military base in California. It was launched with the help of the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from Vandenberg Space Force Base. Earlier last month, North Korea had placed its spy satellite in orbit in the third attempt.

South Korea will launch four more spy satellites with SpaceX by 2025. South Korea is planning to send four more satellites into space for better monitoring of North Korea. This plan is expected to increase the arms race between the two Koreas.
South Korea’s Defense Ministry said, ‘An hour after the satellite was placed in orbit, communication was successfully established with the ground station in California. With the successful launch of the satellite, our military has secured independent intelligence monitoring and military testing capabilities.
North Korea threatened
North Korea said on Saturday that it could consider declaring war if anyone interferes with the operation of its satellite. Pyongyang will give a befitting reply to American interference in space. America had said that it could interfere in the operation of North Korea’s spy satellite with its spy satellite.
