Kamal Nath and his son Nakul Nath have a long history of religious beliefs. Even before the assembly elections, Kamal Nath and Nakul Nath had organised two major religious gatherings in Chhindwara. Pandit Pradeep Mishra of Sehore and Pt. Dhirendra Krishna Shastri’s Katha were organised under the banner of the Maruti Nandan Sewa Samiti.

The Congress leadership may have declined the invitation to the consecration ceremony of Ayodhya’s Ram temple, but senior Congress leader and former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath appears to be deeply involved in Ram devotion. Kamal Nath plans to send 4 crore 31 lakh Ram name leaflets from Chhindwara to Ayodhya.

In fact, in honour of January 22, the Maruti Nandan Seva Samiti of Chhindwara has organised a 21-day Shri Ram Mahotsav. During this festival, the institute is distributing Ram leaflets to the public. In this, Ram devotees and people are asked to write Ram 108 times and return it. The committee is working to bring this record collection of Ram’s name to Ayodhya during the Pran Pratishta festival. This committee manages the famous Hanuman temple in Simaria, Chhindwara.

This committee’s patrons are Kamal Nath and his MP son Nakul Nath. Kamal Nath also built this temple. During Shri Ram Mahotsav, a booklet of the Ram Raksha Sutra will be distributed in the Chhindwara-Pandhurna district. The cover of these booklets features former Chief Minister Kamal Nath and MP Nakul Nath.

This is how the festival is going

The Maruti Nandan Sewa Samiti is being organised in three phases. The work of writing Ram’s name began on January 4 and will continue until January 21. Anand Bakshi, district president of Congress Endowment Cell, is the committee’s convenor. According to Bakshi, the Ram temple in Ayodhya represents the faith of Sanatan Dharma. Ram is the Hindus’ idol. After 500 years, Shri Ram’s life will be consecrated in the grand temple. This isn’t a political event.

This event should not be viewed through a political prism. In an interview with Amar Ujala, Madhya Pradesh BJP spokesman Narendra Saluja stated that Kamal Nath ji is now remembering Lord Ram following the Congress’ crushing defeat in the Madhya Pradesh assembly elections, being removed from the position of state Congress president, and being sidelined by the Congress’s central leadership. If we had remembered Lord Rama earlier and sought refuge in him, this situation would not have occurred today.

Kamal Nath and Nakul Nath have joined the event

Nakul Nath, the MP for Chhindwara, attended the committee’s event on January 7. Ram’s name appeared 108 times on the leaflet. After this, addressing the people, Nakul Nath said, “This is a historic program. Chhindwara will soon produce a record four crore 31 lakh Ram name sheets. He also stated that the people of Chhindwara will set a new record this time and win the Lok Sabha. Former Chief Minister Kamal Nath also attended the Shri Ram Mahotsav of Maruti Nandan Seva Samiti. On January 10, Kamal Nath wrote Ram’s name 108 times on a leaflet while visiting the Hanuman temple in Simaria. He was accompanied by his son Nakul Nath.

Kamal Nath in an attempt to save his stronghold

Kamal Nath and his son Nakul Nath have a long history of religious beliefs. Even before the assembly elections, Kamal Nath and Nakul Nath had organised two major religious gatherings in Chhindwara. Under the auspices of Maruti Nandan Sewa Samiti, Pandit Pradeep Mishra of Sehore and Pt. Dhirendra Krishna Shastri’s Katha were organised. These events drew millions of people. Political experts believe that they can better understand Kamal Nath’s political intentions behind this event. However, this event is not consistent with Congress’s tradition. However, the grandeur of the event suggests that Kamal Nath wishes to save his stronghold.

As a result, such events are not only organised, but also participated in. Because the BJP’s focus in Chhindwara has shifted to the Lok Sabha elections. BJP leaders are constantly visiting here. BJP leaders are also telling workers that they must set a record in Madhya Pradesh by winning all 29 seats, including Chhindwara. In such a situation, there has been some unrest within the Congress camp.

Actually, Chhindwara is a stronghold for the Congress. From the first general elections in 1951 to the 2019 elections, the Congress has maintained a strong hold here. From 1980 to 2019, the Kamal Nath family occupied this seat. In the 1997 by-election, the BJP won this seat only once. Sunderlal Patwa defeated Kamal Nath at the time. Kamal Nath retained his seat in the following year’s elections. Aside from Kamal Nath, his wife Alka Nath was also an MP from here, and his son Nakul Nath is now an MP.

This is how the leaflets will reach Ayodhya

The committee members claimed that four lakh leaflets had been distributed to the public. The responsibility has been assigned to ten thousand workers from each block in the Chhindwara and Pandhurna districts. On these leaflets, devotees must write Ram Naam 108 times in red ink. In this way, the goal of writing Ram Naam four crore 31 lakh times through four lakh leaflets has been established. On January 21, these leaflets will be collected from the block level. This will be followed by a leafleting tour. On January 22, Ramlala will be consecrated in Ayodhya, and these leaflets will be kept at the ancient Ram temple of Chhindwara in Untakkhana.

The organisers stated that the government has prohibited non-invited devotees from entering Ayodhya on January 22, so they will wait until the ban is lifted. These leaflets will be sent to Ayodhya as soon as the movement is permitted there. After worshipping, these will be deposited in the Ram Naam Bank. Because every devotee cannot travel to Ayodhya on this occasion, efforts are being made to convey the devotees’ feelings through leaflets bearing Ram’s name.
