English batsmen fell in front of Ashwin

R Ashwin’s brilliance overcame the English batsmen in his 100th Test match. Ashwin spread the magic of his spinning balls in the second innings after capturing four wickets in the first. In the second innings, the Indian off-spinner took five batsmen from England and showed them the way to the pavilion. He also claimed important wickets in the form of Jack Crowley, Ollie Pope, Ben Stokes, and Ben Fox. Yashasvi Jaiswal was named Man of the Series after amassing 712 runs in the five-match Test series.
