Boeing 737 Max Emergency Landing in Houston: Investigation Underway

The third crash of a Boeing in a week

There have been three consecutive incidents involving United Boeing airplanes in the past week. A United Boeing 737 Max skidded off the runway after landing at George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston, Texas on Friday. Earlier, a United-operated Boeing 777-200 bound for Japan suffered a tire failure after takeoff from San Francisco. However, there is no information about any casualty in both the incidents.

On Friday, a United Boeing 737 Max aircraft went off the runway upon touchdown at Houston, Texas’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport. About eight in the morning local time, this incident occurred. The FAA and National Transportation Safety Board will look into it.

All passengers of the plane are safe

At George Bush Intercontinental Airport, a Denver-based Boeing 737 Max 8 carrying 160 passengers and six crew members skidded off the pavement. Following the incident, there was mayhem around the airport and on the aircraft. Nevertheless, there has been no reported casualty in this occurrence. On social media, the accident’s footage is becoming widely shared. All of the passengers were successfully evacuated by the crew once the airport authorities were informed about the plane.

“After stepping off the aircraft, passengers went to the terminal. The aircraft took off from Memphis, according to United and the FAA. As soon as the weather is judged suitable for the next takeoff, United stated the aircraft will be relocated to the taxiway. We will be collaborating with the FAA, Boeing, and NTSB in our investigation.

Three accidents in a week

This week has seen three incidents involving Boeing aircraft operated by United. On Friday, shares of United and Boeing both saw 1% declines. One day prior, a Boeing 777-200 flown by United that was headed to Japan experienced a tire failure after takeoff from San Francisco. The aircraft was rerouted to Los Angeles, where it made a safe landing.

According to news agency Reuters, the airline said, “The United Boeing 737 plane flying from Houston to Florida on Monday returned to the airport immediately after take off, because suddenly for some reason flames were seen coming out of the plane’s engine.” It started.
