In the United States, presidential elections will be held. Former President Donald Trump is making every effort to register his involvement in such a situation. He is now approaching the U.S. Supreme Court against the Colorado court’s decision. Indeed, Maine and Colorado have disqualified former President Trump from the presidency this year due to allegations in the attack on the US Capitol in 2021. Trump has requested the US Supreme Court to change this decision.

Trump’s lawyers say Colorado’s decision is wrong and cannot be right.

Significantly, the Supreme Court is under increasing pressure to decide soon whether Trump, who is leading the Republican Party’s presidential race, can be disqualified from public office. Meanwhile, other High Court cases could affect the federal criminal case against Trump.

The former U.S. president’s appeal comes nearly a week after the Colorado GOP filed a separate appeal and two weeks later Colorado’s decision back. The ruling has been blocked pending an appeal being filed. Colorado’s top election officials have already made clear that Trump’s name would be added to the state’s primary ballot when certified on January 5.

The Colorado Supreme Court ruled that Trump incited his supporters on January 6, 2021. He used a false narrative of election fraud to incite miscreants to target Capitol Hill. They sometimes say that people should maintain peace but cannot correct their wrongdoings. Maine State Secretary of State Shena Lee Bellows ruled against Trump, citing constitutional rebellion provisions in the case.

His candidacy has been challenged in several states to keep Donald Trump away from the presidential election in 2024. Its basis has been made the 14th Amendment of the Constitution. However, the Michigan and Minnesota state courts have refused to ban Trump.
