The OIC, a Muslim countries organization, has expressed opposition to Ramlala’s life consecration and the construction of a Ram temple. In a post, the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation stated that the Secretary General of the OIC voiced severe concern about the construction of the recently erected Ram Temple in Ayodhya, India, by demolishing the already-built Babri Masjid. Previously, Pakistan has shown hostility towards the consecration rite.

OIC for Ram Mandir the majority of countries around the world expressed satisfaction at Ram Lalla’s consecration ceremony. However, the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, a group of Islamic countries, has criticized the construction of the Ram Temple. The OIC issued a statement condemning the temple built after demolishing the Islamic site (Babri Masjid).

(“The post continued, “In keeping with earlier decisions made by the Council of Foreign Ministers, the OIC General Secretariat opposes these acts. It intends to destroy Islamic sites such as the Babri Masjid. I have been standing in the same spot ever since.”)

Pakistan had also expressed its displeasure with the consecration event earlier on Monday. Pakistan stated that “the growing ‘Hindutva’ ideology in India poses a serious threat to religious harmony and regional peace.” Aside from this, Pakistan has requested that the Indian government protect the security of religious minorities, especially Muslims, and their holy sites.

India is not a member of the OIC

The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation has 57 member countries. The Gulf country Saudi Arabia and its allies control the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation. Let us remind you that India is not a member of the OIC and does not have observer status. Pakistan has used this opportunity to sling vitriol at India.
