Tejas MK-1A made successful flight, spent 18 minutes in the air
It was tested from the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) airport in Bengaluru. For the full eighteen minutes, this aircraft was in the air. It took the Tejas MK1A aircraft eighteen minutes to land safely, according to government defense contractor HAL. Chief Test Pilot Group Captain KK Venugopal (Retd) flew the aircraft throughout the mission.

Tejas MK1A can work in all weather conditions
The Indian Air Force uses the homegrown Tejas MK1A, a 4.5 generation all-weather multirole combat aircraft. The Defense Ministry had signed a contract worth over Rs 48,000 crore with HAL in February 2021 for 83 LCA Tejas MK-1A fighters.

Tejas Squadron
“Flying Daggers” and “Flying Bullets,” two Tejas squadrons that the Indian Air Force currently possesses, are now stationed in the southwest region of the country confronting Pakistan.
To establish Tejas as the cornerstone of the Indian Air Force, the Defense Acquisition Council (DAC) has authorized the purchase of 97 more Tejas MK-1A aircraft under Approval of Requirement (AOR).
