Thailand’s Prime Minister Shretha Thavisin said she was informed of the agreement that Swift would not perform any further shows at the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). According to Sky News, citing a concert promoter, he said that Singapore had offered Swift up to US$3 million per concert if she did not perform concerts elsewhere in Southeast Asia. She further said that if she had come to Thailand, she would have been able to attract more sponsors and tourists, as it would have been cheaper to organize the event here.
