1. Highest Score by an Indian on Test Debut

On March 14, 2013, at Mohali, Shikhar Dhawan made his Test debut against Australia, and it was nothing short of magnificent. With a brilliant 187 in the first innings, Dhawan lived up to the occasion in a contest when India was looking for a new start. This was not only his first innings on the international scene, but it also set a new benchmark. The highest score by an Indian on their Test debut is still Dhawan’s 187. With 33 boundaries and two sixes in his innings, he became the fastest rookie to reach a century in cricket history in just 85 balls. 2. Fastest Century on Test Debut

In addition to setting a record for the greatest debut score, Dhawan is the fastest to reach 100 in a Test match. Dhawan’s aggressive batting style was clear from the off, as he reached his hundred in just 85 balls. He demonstrated a mix of talent and flare that made him a tough opponent for bowlers, and this record highlights his ability to dominate from the start of his career.

3. Most Runs by an Indian in the Champions Trophy

For Dhawan, the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy was a pivotal event. He not only made a significant contribution to India’s victory, but he also finished first in runs scored during the competition. With 701 runs scored in 10 games across the 2013 and 2017 editions, Dhawan’s performance is still unmatched. He made a record for the most runs by an Indian hitter in the history of the Champions Trophy because to his consistency and ability to perform well under duress.

4. Most Fours in IPL History

Shikhar Dhawan has established himself as one of the top batters in the Indian Premier League (IPL). His current record for the most fours in IPL history is held by him. With 222 matches under his belt and 768 boundaries struck, Dhawan’s aggressive hitting has been a major aspect of his IPL career. His track record demonstrates his capacity to spot openings and score freely, which makes him an invaluable player in the T20 format. Virat Kohli, another legendary player in Indian cricket, trails Dhawan with 705 fours in 252 games, illustrating the magnitude of Dhawan’s accomplishment.

5. Most Runs by an Indian in a Single U-19 World Cup

Before becoming well-known in the world of international cricket, Dhawan was the talk of the 2004 U-19 World Cup. With his outstanding performance in the competition, he broke the record for the most runs by an Indian batter in a single U-19 World Cup edition by amassing 505 runs in seven matches. This incredible accomplishment not only demonstrated his aptitude at an early age but also laid the groundwork for his prosperous senior cricket career.

As I close this chapter of my cricketing journey, I carry with me countless memories and gratitude. Thank you for the love and support! Jai Hind! 🇮🇳 pic.twitter.com/QKxRH55Lgx
