Central government engaged in modernizing Bengal
Modi said that Bengal acts as the eastern gateway to other states of the country. Immense possibilities of progress can enter through this door in the East, hence our government is working for modern connectivity of road, rail, air and waterways in Bengal.
The PM said that from the infrastructure point of view, Railways has been a part of the glorious history of Bengal, but the historical lead that Bengal had, was not taken forward properly after independence.
