What is myopia?

In this condition, the eyes are not able to focus properly on distant objects and distant objects appear blurry. This happens due to light not being reflected properly in the eyes. Because of this, things appear blurry. It usually begins in childhood, becoming better in the late teens.

Therefore, you must take care of some things, with the help of which you can reduce the risk of myopia in your children.

How to protect?

  • Try to reduce screen time. If your child uses the phone, TV, or computer for a long time, try to make a rule to reduce their screen time.
  • Playing outside can give your child not only protection from myopia but many other benefits. Therefore, try to let your child go outside to play for some time every day.
  • Do not read a book or use the phone in low light or darkness. This can cause strain on children’s eyes.
  • Get regular eye checkups done. With this, eye problems can be detected and treated in their early stages.
