What’s new in the 2024 Mercedes GLA?
The appearance of the 2024 Mercedes GLA has undergone minimal revisions, but key innovations have been introduced to the interior. Mercedes-Benz has also launched a new Spectral Blue color scheme for the 2024 G.LA. GLA was first introduced in 2010 and till now more than 14,000 units of this luxury brand have been sold.
Price and variants
The 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLA will be marketed in two trim levels: Progressive Line and AMG Line. The Progressive Line will be available with petrol and diesel engines, while the AMG Line will only offer diesel engines. The GLA 220d 4MATIC starts at Rs 54.75 lakh, and the GLA 220d 4MATIC AMG Line costs Rs 56.90 lakh. Let us inform you that both of these prices are ex-showroom and original.
Engine
Its petrol engine is a 1.3-litre unit, which produces 160 bhp of maximum power and 270 Nm of peak torque. It comes with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. It can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 8.9 seconds and its claimed fuel efficiency is 17.4 km.
Next is the 2.0-litre diesel engine, which produces a maximum power output of 187 bhp and peak torque of 400 Nm. An 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission has been used in it. With this engine, the 2024 GLA can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 7.5 seconds and has a claimed fuel efficiency of 18.9 km.
Design and interior
Both variants now get a new set of LED headlamps and tail lamps. Additionally, there are new alloy wheels. The Progressive line has 18-inch units, while the AMG line has 19-inch units.
Major changes have been made to its interior. The Progressive Line features a new illuminated trim with a star pattern design, while the AMG Line features carbon trim. The center console has been redesigned with additional storage space.
Features
The infotainment system has been modified to run MBUX and includes wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, as well as a digital key. Mercedes-Benz has also included a hands-free tailboard, Active Park Assist, Adaptive High Beam Assist, and a 360-degree camera. In terms of safety features, it boasts 7 airbags, an active braking assist, a run-flat tire, a tire pressure monitoring system, and more.
