According to Mikel Arteta, Arsenal defeated Bayern Munich as the “better side”
“Unlocking them requires a magical moment or an error,” the manager of Arsenal stated to TNT Sports.
“We were superior to them.
“The club aimed to be in the semifinals for our first year back in the Champions League after seven years away from the competition.
“The truth is that we were very close.”
Real Madrid’s Federico Valverde was selected Player of the Match.

The manager of Manchester City said to TNT Sports, “We did everything more than well in every department, but we could not do it. Well done to Real Madrid.”
“Everything was made by us. We need to attempt to generate more opportunities than the opposition than we did today, as we have done over the years, but regrettably we were unable to do so from the penalty spot.
Real Madrid knew they were going to “suffer,” according to Carlo Ancelotti
The Real Madrid manager said, “I’m very happy, a very good game,” to TNT Sports.
“We were prepared for pain, which we experienced, but we prevailed in the match.
We struggled and they had greater control, but we managed to persevere and maintain focus at the end
The substitute for Real Madrid rejects Manchester City
Three of the five penalties were saved. 33 shots, with 9 going in and 8 being saved. All eighteen corners were guarded. Andriy Lunin, the Real Madrid backup goalkeeper to Thibaut Courtois, had an incredible evening.
The complete lineup for the Champions League semifinals
There are still four teams competing in the Champions League: Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, and Paris Saint-Germain.
Extra time
The most important development during the extra time was Gurdiola’s substitution of Julian Alvarez for Haaland! It was an extremely difficult choice to make, but it was well-considered given that the only opportunity he had was to smash into the bar. Alvarez gave City more energy and a broader range of skills to the game.
Doku was working a fantastic period on the Madrid defense, and once his ball from the left into the six-yard box nearly brought City closer to the goal. Nobody was able to touch it, though.
At last, City regretted passing up all of these opportunities.
In the end, penalties determined the outcome of the match, and Real Madrid prevailed, holding their composure to do so at the Etihad and eliminating the reigning champions from the competition and their hopes of winning a triple.
