With a run off Varun Chakravarthy, Buttler gave Rajasthan their sixth victory of the year. Buttler has also broken the mark held by Chris Gayle.

Buttler overturned the losing bet
The Rajasthan Royals scored 178 runs for 7 wickets at the conclusion of 17 overs. In 18 balls, Rajasthan needed 46 runs to win. Jos Buttler was positioned at the crease, however he misjudged the timing of the ball. But Butler began showing more vulnerability in the 18th over of the inning, and in only two overs, the game changed dramatically.

Butler used Starc’s over to score eighteen runs. Harshit Rana was given the task of bowling the 19th over by captain Shreyas Iyer. Butler was made aware of Harshit’s lack of experience, nevertheless. The first batsman for Rajasthan made 19 runs off of the 19th over, turning the game into a thrilling contest.
The thrill of the last over
Butler had 98 runs to play with and Rajasthan needed nine runs in the last over to win. Butler hit the opening delivery from Varun Chakravarthy for a six. Butler fulfilled his century with this six as well. Yet the story’s biggest surprise was still to come. Varun returned with a bang, bowling three consecutive dots. A victory off of two balls now required three runs. In the fifth pitch of the over, Butler scored two runs, and in the last ball, he singled to give Rajasthan the victory.
Buttler ahead of Gayle
In IPL history, Jos Buttler’s bat has scored seven centuries. With this, Butler is now ranked second among batsmen in this league who have scored the most hundreds. Chris Gayle has been overtaken by Buttler. In the IPL, Gayle has six hundreds to her credit.
