Such a statement about Neil Wagner’s retirement was made recently by former New Zealand team batsman Ross Taylor, and it caused a stir. Wagner, 37, declared his retirement the day before the opening Test matchup with Australia. That is why Wagner was left out of the starting eleven.

In spite of this, he brought alcohol onto the field for the first test as a replacement player. During this time, he had won the fans’ hearts. In the meantime, Neil was forced to retire, according to Ross Taylor in a program. Kane Williamson, the legend of the New Zealand team, has now spoken out following his statement.

In fact, during the press conference before the second Test against Australia, Kane Williamson broke his silence regarding Neil Wagner’s retirement. Kane Williamson said that I do not think anyone can ever be forced to take retirement. I think he had a fantastic last week and it was a reflection of how incredible his career has been.

The dressing room provided us with some incredible moments. It didn’t take place entirely. It was much more than just a matter of performance on the field, of course. For this team, he has accomplished so much amazing work.

When it comes to Wagner’s cricket career, we should mention that he debuted for his country in the sport in 2012. In 64 test matches for New Zealand, Wagner claimed 260 wickets overall.

‘Wagner was forced to retire’

According to Ross Taylor, Wagner’s forced retirement is now reasonable. Wagner was clearly going to retire, but not before the final Test match, if we listen to his press conference. Although he wasn’t picked for the first Test team, he was available for this series.
