All of the Indian soldiers who were stationed in the Maldives have already returned home. The Maldivian government claims that India has declared that all of its troops have left the islands.

May 10th was the date that President Mohamed Moijju had set for the departure of all Indian soldiers from the nation. The deadline was being reached today. The troop departure coincides with discussions between the foreign ministers of the two nations to enhance bilateral ties being held in New Delhi.

Describe why President Muizzu is viewed as a pro-Chinese figure. One of the main highlights of Moiju’s election campaign was the repatriation of roughly ninety Indian military soldiers who were stationed in the Maldives.

The President’s Office’s chief spokesperson, Hina Waleed, said to a news source that the final group of Indian soldiers stationed in the Maldives had been withdrawn. He did not, however, provide the precise number of Indian forces.

The number of troops will be announced later

The number of troops, according to Waleed, would be disclosed later. Two helicopters and a Dornier aircraft that India had provided were to be operated and maintained by Indian military troops stationed in the Maldives.

The 51 troops were returned to India on Monday, as the Maldivian administration had previously declared. Citing official records, the government has provided information on the deployment of 89 Indian soldiers in the Maldives.

The first and second batches of Indian employees returned to their home country, and Indian technical staff members have since been assigned to run the three Indian aviation platforms, according to a statement from the External Affairs Ministry’s Randhir Jaiswal to reporters on Thursday.
