The Golden State Warriors confirmed their favoritism for Wednesday’s game (20) against the Memphis Grizzlies. The match took place at the home of Stephen Curry and company, at the Chase Center, in San Francisco, California.
And Jonathan Kuminga’s inspired night, the Warriors win again in the NBA after being defeated by the Knicks in the previous round. Before that, they beat the Lakers, but facing LeBron James, Golden State came from a defeat to the Dallas Mavericks.
In a “win-lose” streak, the Warriors went to their second consecutive game at the Chase Center in two nights, and even though they were defeated by a team they had already beaten in 2024, Curry, Green, Kuminga, Thompson and Podziemski commanded a victory calmly against one of the most lacking teams in the NBA.
A Warriors trio on the night consisting of Jonathan Kuminga, Klay Thompson and Andrew Wiggins took control of the game, with all three players scoring at least 22 points in the match.
Coming off the bench, Klay Thompson scored 23 points in 22 minutes on the court, showing that he is more comfortable with the new role he assumed with the Warriors for the second half of the season.

The Grizzlies, in turn, didn’t have as much firepower coming off the bench as the Warriors, however, a good surprise appeared in the game to delight Brazilian basketball fans.
In Warriors x Grizzlies, Brazilians faced each other for the first time in years
João Marcello “Mãozinha” Pereira, who recently signed a 10-day contract with the Memphis Grizzlies, entered the court in the final stretch of the game. Right away, he faced another Brazilian who is in the NBA: Gui Santos.

The two were face to face on the court, and even though Gui’s team won, João Marcello saved his with a beautiful dunk coming out of the pick and roll and receiving the aerial bridge to leave his mark on the score box. On the other hand, the young man from the Golden State Warriors tried a shot in the game, but was unable to convert the attack.

This was the first meeting between Brazilians in the NBA since 2016. Coincidentally, the first game that Mãozinha played in the NBA was against Gui, and now they are the last players from Brazil to have faced each other in a game in the biggest basketball league in the world.
