10 percent reservation will continue
The Parliamentary Affairs Minister clarified that 10 percent reservation will continue for economically weaker people. There will be a total of 75 percent reservation in appointment in government services and admission to educational institutions.
The Chief Minister said that the reservation limit has been increased based on caste-based calculations. This is a historic day for the state.
In the calculations, the economic condition of every section of the society has been assessed. On this basis, it has been decided to assist Rs 2 lakh to 94 lakh poor families.
With this amount, they will improve their financial condition. Financial provisions are being made for this. Rs 2.5 lakh crore will be spent on the scheme in five years.

10 percent reservation was already being given for economically weaker sections and 50 percent for other sections. Reservation is given to Scheduled Castes and Tribes based on their numbers.
Their population is about 22 percent. Therefore, a provision for 22 percent reservation has also been made. He urged the House that both the reservation-related bills should be passed unanimously.
BJP MLA Arun Shankar Prasad demanded that the scope of reservation be increased to 79 percent.
