Australia preparing for the World Cup
Earlier, Hazlewood had returned to the team in the second ODI against West Indies. Hazlewood returned to the changes after Travis Head was released from the team. Hazlewood had announced after the match that Australia would take the field against New Zealand with its full-strength team.
Warner will return
Cummins, Starc, and Hazlewood are all poised to return following the 2022 T20 World Cup on home soil. Mitchell Starc will lead the squad in the short format against New Zealand. Along with that, after retiring from ODI and Test cricket, David Warner will return to the Australian squad in the T20 format.
Warner will return from ILT20
David Warner is currently playing in the ILT20 league. In such a situation, he will have to leave the league midway and join the national team. This series of the shortest format against New Zealand will be Australia’s last challenge before the T20 World Cup in June.
