Moon landing of the robotic spacecraft lander Odysseus of America’s private company Intuitive Machines has been done. After almost 50 years, robotic spacecraft lander Odysseus has landed on the surface of the moon. Since the last Apollo mission in 1972, an American-made spacecraft has now landed on the surface of the Moon. The name of this spacecraft that landed on the moon is Odysseus or Audi.
This robotic lander, which has six legs, touched down on Friday at 4:30 a.m. Indian time in the Malapert A crater, which is located close to the Moon’s south pole. Thursday (local time) saw the successful landing of the US spacecraft Odysseus on the Moon, making it the first US spacecraft to do so in over 50 years.
With this, Intuitive Machines (IM) – the commercial venture behind the Nova-C lander – has become the first private venture to make a successful landing on the lunar surface. The South Pole of the Moon is the same part near which India’s Chandrayaan 3’s Vikram Lander landed. Before landing, Odysseus’ navigation system experienced a malfunction.
Your order was delivered… to the Moon! 📦@Int_Machines' uncrewed lunar lander landed at 6:23pm ET (2323 UTC), bringing NASA science to the Moon's surface. These instruments will prepare us for future human exploration of the Moon under #Artemis. pic.twitter.com/sS0poiWxrU

The landing nevertheless went through. The South Pole of the Moon is where this spaceship has touched down. Before landing, the spacecraft’s speed had increased, according to information from NASA. Odysseus therefore conducted a second orbit around the moon. One revolution was increased, resulting in a change in landing time. It had been planned to arrive gently at 4:20 a.m. Indian time.
“I know it was a difficult one, but we’re on the surface,” stated Intuitive Machines CEO Steve Altemus. We are sending out. Greetings from the moon.” Bill Nelson, the administrator of NASA, congratulated him via video message.
Let us tell you that America is the only country that has sent humans to the surface of the Moon. The space agency said it chose this landing site for Intuitive Machines’ first mission because it wanted to learn more about the moon’s environment, and how communications function in this region. NASA wants to explore the south pole of the Moon because the space agency believes it is the best place to establish a future astronaut base.
