In terms of fruits, it can eat anything except pomegranate, banana, apple, orange, fig, melon, watermelon, pear, berries, strawberry, and litchi. Let us tell you that whole grains are quite vital in this diet. Corn, whole wheat, brown rice, rye, oats, and whole grain bread are all options.

The Mediterranean diet provides all of the necessary nutrients to maintain heart health. At the same time, this lowers the risk of heart attack and stroke. Brain health also improves. This type of diet can also help boost immunity during the winter. That is why doctors and dietitians advocate this diet. Research has also shown that eating a Mediterranean diet can help prevent major illnesses such as breast cancer, diabetes, and memory loss.
