Luka Doncic had another brilliant performance this season and scored his first triple-double. Even so, it wasn’t enough to guarantee the Dallas Mavericks’ victory against the Oklahoma City Thunder this Saturday (02), in Dallas.
At home, the Dallas team was unable to hold off the Oklahoma City Thunder’s attack and was defeated at home by 126 to 120. Even so, the Mavericks broke an NBA record during the match: a streak of 30 points without conceding any from 11:09 until 4:!8 of the last quarter.
The feat ended up surpassing the Cleveland Cavaliers’ 29-0 mark against the Milwaukee Bucks on December 6, 2009, according to information provided by the NBA during the season.
With an incredible 30-point run, the Mavericks managed to turn the game around to 117-111. However, the resilient Oklahoma team managed to overcome the adversity, scoring the final eight points of the game and turning it from 120-118 to 126-120.

Without Kyrie Irving, Luka Doncic commanded the home team’s attack with an exquisite performance from start to finish. The shooting guard recorded a triple-double with 36 points, 18 assists, and 15 rebounds in 46 minutes on the court.
In addition to Doncic, Derrick Jones Jr performed well with 24 points and four rebounds in 33 minutes on the court. Additionally, young Dereck Lively II recorded a double-double with 20 points and 16 rebounds to contribute to the home team’s scoring chart.
The Oklahoma City Thunder’s night was highlighted by a more collective performance than, for example, a brilliant performance by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Eight players on the team recorded double-digit scoring, with freshman Jalen Williams leading the scoring on the night with 23 points, five assists, and five rebounds.
The team’s main star, Shai scored 17 points and nine assists. Chet Holmgren contributed a double-double of 11 points and 11 rebounds. Another Thunder highlight was young Cason Wallace, who scored 15 points and six assists in just 20 minutes on the court.
