On Monday night in the J-K region of Rajouri, a man named Mohd Razaq was shot and killed by terrorists. The man was attacked when he emerged from a mosque in his hamlet of Kunda Top, in the Shahdhara Sharif region of the Rajouri district.
A reward of Rs 10 lakh was declared by the J&k Police on Tuesday for any information leading to the identification of the terrorist who killed a man in Kunda village in Rajouri district last evening.
The accused, who has engaged in a number of terrorist activities such as terrorist attacks, radicalization, recruitment, and financing, has been named by the authorities as Abu Hamza. Additionally, the police have promised not to reveal the identity of the informants.

The event happened on Monday night, April 22, when the victim, 40-year-old Muhammad Razaq, emerged from his hamlet, Kunda Top, which is located under the jurisdiction of the Thanamandi police station. Razaq’s brother, Mohammad Tahir Choudhary, is a soldier in the Territorial Army, according to the police.
The officials stated that Tahir could have been the intended target, but his brother was shot.

— Tejinder Singh Sodhi 🇮🇳 (@TejinderSsodhi) April 23, 2024Several sections have been the subject of a criminal case filed in the First Information Report (FIR), including Section 302 (murder), Section 120A (conspiracy to commit an offence), Section 121B (waging war or attempting to wage war against the Government of India), Section 122 (collecting arms with the intention of waging war against the Government of India), Section 458 (lurking, trespassing, or breaking into a house at night after preparing to hurt, assault, or wrongful restraint), Relevant sections of the Arms Act, and Sections of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA). The Thanamandi Police Station has received a registration for the matter.
Remarkably, 19 years earlier, terrorists in the same hamlet also killed Razaq’s father, Mohammad Akbar, who suffered a similar fate. Razaq was given a job in the Social Welfare Department by the government out of compassion after Akbar’s untimely death. Akbar worked in this same department.
On Tuesday, thousands of people came to the victim’s home to express their condolences.
The target killing was denounced by the community during Nimaz e Janaza and last rituals.
Twenty-one years ago, terrorists killed Mohammad Akbar, the victim’s father and the son of Slah Muhammad. That was while he was the local Naib Sarpanch.
