The inspiration behind ‘Rebel Moon’
Talking about his inspiration, Snyder said, ‘The most inspiring thing about those projects to me is the ambition and vision required to take something mythological and turn it into a cinematic experience. How do you start with a blank piece of paper and end up with The Lord of the Rings? It’s how mythology is brought to the screen, that mechanism, that has always been inspiring to me. So to have an idea of this particular mythology, and to have these other large-scale stories that have gone before us – I can’t imagine starting or building this world without them.’
