In a heartfelt appeal, Vijayta Pandit, the widow of late music composer Aadesh Shrivastava, has reached out to Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, urging him to fulfill a promise he made to her husband on his deathbed. In a recent interview with Lehren Retro, Vijayta expressed her deep concern for her son, Avitesh Shrivastava, who has been striving to make a name for himself in the entertainment industry but has not received the support he needs.
Aadesh’s Final Wish
Vijayta Pandit reminisced about the bond between Shah Rukh and Aadesh, highlighting how the actor would visit her husband during his illness. She revealed a poignant moment when Aadesh, unable to speak, held Shah Rukh’s hand and gestured toward Avitesh, implying that he wanted Shah Rukh to look after his son after he was gone. “At the hospital, Shah Rukh would often visit us. Aadesh said that Shah Rukh need to look for Avitesh the day before he died,” Vijayta Pandit shared.
Seeking Support for Avitesh
Despite his hard work and talent—having collaborated with artists like Akon and French Montana—Avitesh has struggled to gain traction in the industry. Vijayta emphasized the importance of support from influential figures in Bollywood. “My son works so hard, but unfortunately, he isn’t getting the direction or backing he needs,” she lamented. She urged Shah Rukh to step in and help kickstart Avitesh’s career, suggesting that he could produce a film for him under his banner, Red Chillies Entertainment.
Shah Rukh is a kind man; throughout Aadesh’s sickness, he visited her several times. I would want to remind him that Avitesh needs him now that he has made a vow. She said he only needs a little prodding.
The Impact of Family Legacy
Vijayta Pandit also pointed out the significant role her family has played in Shah Rukh’s rise to fame. Her brothers, the music composer duo Jatin-Lalit, were behind some of the biggest hits in Shah Rukh’s early career, including tracks from iconic films like Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. Although Shah Rukh is a well-known celebrity now, my brothers have a huge part in his success. She said, ‘He has to do something for our family in exchange.
A Call to Amitabh Bachchan
In addition to her appeal to Shah Rukh, Vijayta Pandit spoke about Aadesh’s close relationship with Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan. She noted that while Amitabh used to frequent their studio and collaborate closely with Aadesh, the two have drifted apart since Aadesh’s passing. She revealed that although Amitji was present during the release of Avitesh’s debut single, he has since ceased visiting. She emphasized that she never asked him for money, but she asked Amitabh to provide Avitesh with significant support.
The Need for Industry Support
Vijayta Pandit heartfelt plea highlights the challenges that newcomers in the film industry often face. Despite Avitesh’s potential and dedication, the lack of guidance and support from established figures has left him struggling to find his footing. “People in the industry know that Aadesh is no longer here; they should extend their support to my son,” she remarked, emphasizing the need for a community to uplift emerging talent.
As Avitesh works on his debut film, Sirf Ek Friday, Vijayta remains hopeful that influential figures like Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan will recognize the contributions of her late husband and step in to support his son. “This is the time for them to come forward and help,” she asserted, echoing the sentiment that behind every successful artist, there often lies a web of relationships and promises.
Vijayta Pandit’s call for support serves as a reminder of the human connections that bind the film industry together and the responsibilities that come with success. As she navigates this challenging journey, her unwavering love for her son and hope for his future shine through, underscoring the importance of community in the pursuit of dreams.
