The squads of the teams who have advanced to the T20 World Cup 2024 have begun to be revealed. Subsequently, major teams such as India, Nepal, South Africa, England, and New Zealand have also revealed their respective squads. While Nepal has appointed Rohit Paudel as team captain, Oman has named Aaqib Ilyas as team leader.
Aqib Ilyas was named captain of Oman’s squad on Wednesday for the forthcoming T20 World Cup, which the team is participating in for the third time. Aqib stated, “It’s a big responsibility and I’ll try to win as many matches as possible,” after being given the leadership. Zeeshan Maqsood, a former captain, has also been called into the team.

Group B includes reigning champions England, Australia, and Scotland, with Oman facing Namibia in their tournament debut on June 2 in Barbados.

Aasif Sheikh, Kushal Bhurtel, and Dipendra Singh Airee—who just made history by being the third T20 International batsman to knock six sixes in an over—are the guys to look out for in addition to Paudel.
Lalit Rajbanshi’s spin bowling will pose a challenge.
On June 4 in Dallas, Nepal will begin their campaign against the Netherlands. They are included in Group D together with the Netherlands, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and South Africa.
