South Africa’s batting order flopped badly
South Africa’s decision to bat first after winning the toss proved completely wrong. Arshdeep showed Reeza Hendricks the way to the pavilion without opening the account. At the same time, Rassie van der Dussen also remained at zero. Tony DeJorji became the third victim of Arshdeep Singh after scoring 28 runs. Captain Adam Markram also could not show anything special with the bat and was out after scoring only 12 runs.
Heinrich Klaasen could not cross the sinking boat off South Africa and was out after scoring only 6 runs. Avesh Khan dismissed David Miller on the score of 2 runs. The South African team was all out after scoring 116 runs in 27.3 overs.
Arshdeep-Avesh wreaked havoc
Arshdeep Singh and Avesh Khan wreaked havoc on behalf of India in bowling. Arshdeep bowled brilliantly and took five wickets. Arshdeep also became the first Indian bowler to take five wickets in ODI cricket on South African soil. At the same time, Avesh also bowled lethally and took 4 wickets for just 27 runs. With this victory, the Indian team has taken a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.
