The Home Ministry has declared gangster Satwinder Singh alias Satinderjeet Singh alias Goldy Brar as a terrorist under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act 1967. The Union Home Ministry said in a release that Goldy Brar is associated with the banned Khalistani organization Babbar Khalsa International which is known for anti-India activities. The terrorist based in Canada also claimed responsibility for the 2022 murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala.
The central government on Monday declared gangster Goldie Brar a terrorist under the stringent Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA).
The Union Home Ministry said in a release that Goldy Brar is associated with the banned Khalistani organization Babbar Khalsa International, which is known for anti-India activities.
Sidhu was the main accused in the murder of Moosewala
The terrorist based in Canada also claimed responsibility for the 2022 murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala. In May 2022, Moosewala was assassinated in Punjab’s Mansa district. Police later identified Brar as the murderer’s mastermind.
Home Ministry gave information
The Home Ministry said Goldie Brar was involved in smuggling high-grade arms, ammunition, and explosive materials through drones from across the border and supplying them to sharpshooters to carry out killings.
Further, the ministry said that he and his associates were conspiring to disrupt peace, communal harmony, and law and order in the state of Punjab by raising terror modules, carrying out targeted killings, and other anti-nefarious designs.
Who is Goldy Brar?
The real name of gangster Goldie Brar, resident of Aadesh Nagar, Muktsar, Punjab, is Satinderjit Singh. He went to Canada in 2017 on a student visa. According to the information received from the police, Goldie committed many criminal incidents during her college days. Due to his contact with gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, he became his right hand.
