A video of the transatlantic flight taking off using cooking oil was posted on the Virgin Atlantic social media handle.

UK Transport Department gave financial help to the aircraft
In addition to Virgin founder Richard Branson, others including corporate, and government officials, engineers, and journalists were present on the flight. He said, “The world will always assume that something can’t be done unless you do it.
The UK Department of Transport provided one million pounds ($1.27 million) to power this aircraft using fossil fuel. Governments have discussed decarbonizing air travel for a long time. The UK government claims that this flight represents a significant advancement in the environmentally friendly travel industry.
The amount of sustainable aviation fuel in the fuel is 50 percent
Sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) is produced by combining renewable biomass and other spent fuels. Sustainable aviation fuel is mixed with kerosene in planes. However, the amount of sustainable aviation fuel in the fuel has been kept at 50 percent.
