US Moon Mission The landing of this American spacecraft on the moon did not happen like India’s Chandrayaan-3 and as soon as it landed, one leg of this American spacecraft broke and it overturned. An American space plane has fallen into a long sleep after a week-long walk on the surface of the moon. This spacecraft named Odysseus of America’s private company Intuitive Machines was launched a week ago to land on the Moon.
One leg of the vehicle was broken
- The landing of this spacecraft on the Moon was not like that of India’s Chandrayaan-3 and as soon as it landed, one leg of this American spacecraft broke and it overturned on the south pole of the Moon.
- Even after being deprived of solar energy and communication, the company tried many times to make it stand, but it could not happen.
- Finally the company received one last image from Odysseus and placed its computers and power systems on standby.
The company wrote on X- Good night, OD
Now the lander can wake up in the next two to three weeks, if it remains functional. Intuitive Machines spokesman Josh Marshall said these final stages drained the lander’s batteries and put Odysseus into “a long sleep.”
Next, the business inscribed: “Good night, OD” on the X. Hopefully, we’ll see you soon. We would like to inform you that the image captured before to the lunar landing displays the lower portion of the lander on the moon’s elevated surface, with a tiny sun and Earth in the distance. The lander was initially supposed to spend a week or so on the moon.
Let us tell you that Intuitive Machines, based in Houston, became the first commercial business to land a spacecraft on the Moon without crashing, following Odysseus’ successful landing on February 22. Since the 1960s, just five nations have managed to do so, including Japan, which landed last month.
