Match Sticks World Record: You’ve probably heard a lot of stories about unusual world records. In fact, there are records of people doing novel and inventive things all throughout the world. The Danish citizen Peter von Tangen Buskov, 39, set yet another new world record in this series. After sticking 68 matchsticks up his nose, Buskov became the owner of an odd Guinness World Record (GWR).
According to the GWR website, Denmark’s Peter von Tangen Buskov set the world record for ‘holding the most matchsticks in the nose’. He is the first person to hold this record and had to score a minimum of 54 points to earn it. There was a need.” Buskov, sharing his experience, told GWR that surprisingly it didn’t actually hurt me. He added, “My nose is quite big and the skin is quite elastic. I’m sure that helped a lot.”

According to his records, Buskov claimed that his nose could hold 68 sticks at a time. Buskov would not, however, completely rule out the chance of surpassing his record in the future. He told Guinness World Records, “I think I’ll need to train more to improve my ability, or maybe as I get older, my nose will get bigger.”
‘Happy to make my own world record’
Record holder Buskov said he was happy to create his own world record. He said, “I never thought that I would ever get a chance to make a record or even have a record in my name. I always try to see the interesting and strange aspects of life. I want to experience, try new things in this world. There are so many wonderful things to see or new things to do, if we set our mind to it with an open heart and mind.”
