Depression is a type of mental condition about which a study has recently come out which has tried to find out the relationship between body temperature and symptoms of depression. Depression People have become more mindful of their mental health throughout time. People have begun to pay attention to their mental health, as well as the signs of linked ailments. However, this trek is quite long. Many research on mental health are also being undertaken to learn more about it. Recently, a research attempted to determine the association between body temperature and depression.

What is this study?

This research involved 20,000 participants from throughout the world. The body temperature and depressive symptoms of these persons were measured on a daily basis using self-assessments and gadgets. The research lasted seven months and began at the beginning of 2020. According to the analysis of this data, those with depressive symptoms had higher body temperatures than others. However, the cause for this has yet to be determined, although having a hot bath or visiting a sauna can assist to start the body’s cooling process.

According to the World Health Organization, depression is a common mental health disorder, affecting about 3.8 percent of people worldwide. This figure may seem small, but it is such a serious disease that due to it people are forced to take steps like suicide. Therefore, it is very important to be aware of the symptoms of this disease, so that the help of a doctor can be taken to fight it.

What are the symptoms of depression?

Due to depression, there is often sadness in the mind of the suffering person, they feel very sad and disappointed.
Always feeling tired

  • Irritability
  • Change in eating, drinking, and sleeping habits
  • Loss of interest in daily activities
  • Feeling about harming yourself
  • Having trouble thinking
  • Losing interest in your hobbies

If you notice one or more of these symptoms in yourself or in someone around you, then the best option is to seek help from a doctor. They can help reduce the symptoms of depression with the help of medicines and therapy.
