Amla Fermentation Benefits Amla is considered a superfood since it contains many vital nutrients for health, and consuming it can help with not just health but also skin and hair problems. Although consuming Amla is difficult due to its astringent flavor, it can be incorporated into your diet in the form of chutney or jam. There is another way to eat Amla (Indian Gooseberry), which is both tasty and beneficial to one’s health. This is the fermented form of amla. By fermenting Amla, the amount of nourishment in it increases even higher. Please tell us how to ferment it and what its benefits are.

Ferment Amla like this

  1. Wash 5-6 Amla thoroughly.
  2. Put about two glasses of water in a jar.
  3. Also, add 1 teaspoon of turmeric and 1 teaspoon rock.
  4. Make a slit in the middle of all the gooseberries.
  5. Put the jar in water close it well and leave it for 12 hours.
  6. Ready to eat fermented Amla.

Benefits of fermented amla

Improves digestion

Amla contains a good amount of fiber, which helps in the proper functioning of the intestines and keeps them healthy. Fermenting increases the fiber as well as the probiotic properties of Amla, which increases the healthy bacteria in the intestines. This keeps digestion healthy. Problems like constipation, gas, and acidity do not bother you.

Relief from cold and cough

Amla is rich in Vitamin C and antioxidants, which increase the immunity of the body, thereby reducing the chances of contracting infectious diseases to a great extent. Antioxidants reduce the damage caused by free radicals. You should especially eat fermented Amla in winter.

Controls cholesterol

The biggest reason for heart-related diseases is the accumulation of bad cholesterol in the body. By eating Amla, the fat deposited in the arteries starts reducing. There is proper blood circulation in the body, due to which the risk of not only heart but also many diseases is avoided.

Helpful in weight loss

Amla is very beneficial in burning stubborn cholesterol in the body as well as fat. By eating this, metabolism remains healthy due to which obesity starts reducing rapidly. Along with this, Amla is also effective in removing the toxins present in the body.
