British automaker Lotus Cars has today officially entered the Indian market with the Lotus Eletreelectric SUV. Lotus will now sell its products in the domestic market with the help of Chinese brand Geely Automotive Group. Lotus Eletre electric SUV
The company is offering the Lotus Eletre electric SUV in three different trims – Standard, Eletre S, and Eletre R. The SUV will be manufactured at the brand’s manufacturing facility in Hethel, United Kingdom, and will be sold as a CBU unit in the Indian market.

The Eletre electric SUV is the brand’s first electric car and is built on Lotus Electric’s premium architecture. According to Lotus, different car segments with various battery sizes and electric motors can use the same platform.
Battery, charging, and range
The Eletre and Eletre S feature a 112kWh battery pack with dual electric motors that deliver 603hp of power and a claimed range of 600km.
The Eletre R also has the same 112kWh battery pack paired with more powerful electric motors. The twin motors come mated to a 2-speed transmission and produce 905 hp of power and 985 Nm of torque. The EV has a claimed range of 490 km and can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in just 2.95 seconds.
All-wheel drive is included with all three versions, and active air suspension is standard. According to Lotus, the battery comes with a 22kWh AC charger by default and can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in 20 minutes with the rapid charger.
Interior
The interior of this electric SUV features a foldable 15.1-inch landscape-oriented touchscreen infotainment system with 12GB RAM and comes with 128GB storage with 5G connectivity.
It has features like a 12.6-inch digital instrument cluster, HUD, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, intelligent voice control, wireless charging pad, third screen for passengers, 23-speaker 2,160-watt sound system, and a panoramic sunroof.
