Four villagers, including a child, were killed when a missile fired from a drone hit an area in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province bordering Afghanistan, officials said. The drone was also shot down, police said. The area where the drone attack took place was once a stronghold of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). The local police chief said the attack took place in South Waziristan.

Officials said that a drone-fired missile struck an area in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province that borders Afghanistan, killing four civilians, including a kid. According to officials, the drone was also shot down. The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) used to have a stronghold in the region where the drone assault occurred.

Local police chief Hidayat Ullah said the attack took place in South Waziristan. He said that it was unclear at first who fired the missile. Authorities are looking into this. Although the Pakistani army drove Pakistani Taliban terrorists from the region years ago, they have been making attempts to re-establish themselves there.

Hidayat Ullah, the head of local police, stated that the strike took place in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province’s South Waziristan. He stated that cops were looking into it and that it was unclear who launched the missile at first. Years ago, the Pakistani army drove out Pakistani Taliban rebels from the area, but they have since regrouped there.

There is no information indicating that the victims of the missile attack were associated with the rebels. Villagers set their remains out on a road near a military post to protest the killings and to find out who was responsible.

Most of the previous drone strikes in the area were carried out by the US or Pakistani armies.

The drone strike claimed the lives of citizens who had no affiliation with extremists. The villagers wanted to know who was behind the attack as they laid their victims out on the road next to the army cantonment. The military of the US and Pakistan had already targeted drones in the area.
