It has been alleged that an 11-year-old pupil and a primary school teacher in Wisconsin, USA, had an uncomfortable interaction.
A St. Paul teacher named Madison Bergman, 24, is indicted on grave offenses. First-degree child sexual abuse of a minor under the age of 13 is another charge against Bergman.
On Thursday, the St. Croix County complaint was submitted. Authorities were alerted about the activity at Hudson’s River Crest Elementary School, according to the complaint. According to the allegation, instructor Bergman and a fifth-grader engaged in improper behavior.
Teacher used to message student daily
Screenshots of text communications that the victim’s parents saw between the youngster and instructor Bergman were sent to the authorities. It was alleged that the instructor was emailing the youngster on a daily basis, telling him how much she loved spending time with her and how much she touched her. All of this is said to have occurred on school property, either after school or during the lunch break, according to police records.
Additionally, a folder with the victim’s name scribbled on it and many handwritten notes describing their conversation were discovered by the police inside the teacher’s luggage. It is unclear how long any of this was happening for.
The teacher got the child’s mobile number from his mother
When Bergman was on winter vacation in the Afton Alps in December, she said she acquired the child’s phone number from her mom. She proposed to her longtime lover in the same month. Her marriage was scheduled to take place in July, three months later, according to a story in the New York Times.
Parents were informed by the school’s principal, Kimberly Oosterhuis, that the news had distressed her. What matters most to them is the welfare of the students and staff at River Crest School.
Accused teacher will appear on May 30
Bergman has been released on $25,000 bond and is prohibited from entering school premises or participating in school functions. He will appear in court on May 30.
