Arvind Kejriwal, the jailed chief minister of Delhi, declared on Wednesday that he was willing to put up with all of the “atrocities of this dictator government” in order to “save the Constitution”.
Minister Gopal Rai of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) delivered the message after he and other well-known party figures, such as Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Member of Parliament Sanjay Singh, and AAP members Saurabh Bharadwaj and Sandeep Pathak, met with Delhi Chief Minister Sunita Kejriwal at her home.
On Tuesday, Sunita saw her husband in Tihar prison, and during the encounter, she conveyed his message.
“Today, Sunita Kejriwal was to be met by me, MP Sanjay Singh, Sandeep Pathak, Saurabh Bharadwaj, and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. “From jail, Arvind Kejriwal has sent us two messages,” Rai said reporters.
April 14 is “Samvidhan Bachao Tanashahi Hatao Day”
“Firstly, he has said that the party and (state) to guarantee that Delhi’s residents don’t have any issues, the government must continue providing its services.,” stated the minister.
The Chief Minister stated that the party should “observe it as ‘Samvidhan Bachao Tanashahi Hatao’ Day” on April 14, the anniversary of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar’s birth, adding, “Secondly, he said that he is ready to bear all the hurdles and atrocities of this dictator government, but the most important thing today is to save the Constitution.” Rai continued.
This was Kejriwal’s first correspondence following the Delhi High Court’s rejection of his Tuesday plea against the Enforcement Directorate’s arrest in relation to a money laundering case involving the excise policy “scam.”
He filed a motion with the Supreme Court to overturn the HC ruling, and it has stated that it would consider the case on April 15.
Kejriwal was placed in judicial prison for a period of 15 days until April 15 after spending several days in ED jail following his arrest on March 21.
AAP MP likens Hitler’s “gas chambers” to Tihar Prison
Sanjay Singh, an AAP MP, claimed on Wednesday that the BJP is trying to emotionally destroy Kejriwal.
Singh stated that after Kejriwal sent a message to AAP Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) via his attorneys, officials at Tihar Jail threatened to limit his family visits.
He compared the state of affairs to the infamous “gas chambers” of Adolf Hitler’s dictatorship.
Singh declared: “The Modi government wants to imprison Delhi’s elected chief minister in prison. Two days prior, in their discussion, Arvind Kejriwal communicated to his attorney that elected MLAs have to interact with their voters and attend to their complaints. But based just on this, an investigation has been launched against him, and he faces danger of having his access to family and legal counsel restricted.”
After being detained for several months on suspicion of money laundering related to the Delhi liquor policy, Kejriwal was recently freed from Tihar Jail, and Sanjay Singh stated that he is still adamantly opposed to compulsion.
