Pankaj Tripathi in his recent interview admitted that ‘OMG 2‘ had received an ‘A’ certificate from the Central Board of Certification (CBFC), hence most of the families could not watch it. However, the film, directed by Amit Rai, was meant for young adults. Pankaj Tripathi said, ‘It became difficult for families to watch the film because of the A certificate. In a family there is a husband, wife, and a small child, how will they come? Had it not been an A certificate, I think the film would have been even better. The film is already a super hit.
Pankaj Tripathi further added, ‘Business is not important.
The important thing is that the message which was meant for a certain age group did not reach them. Hopefully, people will now come to OTT, see it, and understand it. Along with Pankaj Tripathi, ‘OMG 2’ also stars Akshay Kumar and Yami Gautam in the lead roles. OTT streaming of the film has started on Netflix.
