The second trailer for the highly anticipated “Deadpool and Wolverine,” the third movie in the “Deadpool” series and the first to be set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, features the return of Marvel’s most beloved rivals.
This time, to the music of Madonna’s “Like a Prayer,” Deadpool and Wolverine battle like bloodthirsty devils.
In the teaser, Deadpool says to Wolverine, “I’m about to lose everything that I’ve ever cared about.” Wolverine replies, “Not my fucking problem.”
“Were you saying that when everything in your universe fell apart?” In reaction to Wolverine’s comment, Deadpool fires multiple shots to Wolverine’s chest, striking him in the crotch with those claws.
Cut to the two heroes joking about while eating lunch: Would you like to discuss your haunting, or should we hold off until the third act?
In the threequel, Hugh Jackman reprises his role as Wolverine, who was last seen by fans in the 2017 farewell film “Logan,” alongside Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool. The film will bring the renowned Merc With a Mouth and claw-bearing mutant to the MCU.
The upcoming film “Deadpool and Wolverine” will take place nearly six years after the events of “Deadpool 2,” which saw the conclusion of Fox’s “X-Men” film series and the full acquisition of 20th Century Fox by Disney, which held the rights to the Fantastic Four and the X-Men (the latter of which is currently getting its first MCU feature film).
There is growing anticipation for Deadpool’s newest movie. With an amazing 365 million views in only 24 hours, the first trailer for “Deadpool and Wolverine,” which released during the Super Bowl, broke the record for the most-viewed movie trailer inside a 24-hour period, surpassing the previous holder, “Spider-Man: No Way Home.”
After being abducted by the Time Variance Authority, the multiverse overseer last seen in “Loki,” and finding himself in the same universe as the Avengers, Deadpool makes his way into the Marvel Cinematic Universe in this raucous, R-rated superhero movie.
“Deadpool and Wolverine” is written by Reynolds, Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, Zeb Wells, and Levy; it is directed by Shawn Levy and stars Emma Corrin, Morena Baccarin, Rob Delaney, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni, and Matthew Macfadyen. Executive producers are Kevin Feige, Reynolds, Levy, and Lauren Shuler Donner; the film will be released in theaters on July 26.

Fresh ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ trailer hints at connections to the MCU
“Deadpool also appears in “Deadpool & Wolverine,” his first appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe after Disney purchased 21st Century Fox in 2019, which held the film rights to “X-Men” and “Deadpool.” In the teaser released on Monday, Deadpool and Wolverine are shown leaping into what appears to be one of Doctor Strange’s portals, and there is a glimpse of what appears to be a massive Ant-Man helmet, among other references to the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The teaser also included a veiled joke referencing Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige in true “Deadpool” fashion. “Cocaine is the one thing that Feige said is off limits,” Deadpool asserts, addressing worries that Disney may dilute the R-rated series. Deadpool blasted the camera at a sneak peek of the movie at CinemaCon earlier this month, saying, “Suck it, Fox! Disneyland is where I’m headed.”
In an attempt to build anticipation for Wolverine’s return, the first “Deadpool & Wolverine” teaser trailer, which released before the Super Bowl in February, teased his shadow before cutting to the title before he was shown on screen. Macfadyen (“Succession”) plays an agent from the Time Variance Authority, a body that regulates time flow, among the other actors in the movie.
