At least three people were killed and six others were injured in a suicide blast inside a mosque in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Friday. Doaba police station in-charge Shahraj Khan said the blast took place at a mosque in Hangu district. He said that the blast took place during Friday prayers and 30 to 40 worshipers were present in the mosque at the time of the blast.

Three blasts in Pakistan on the same day
The news of two simultaneous blasts is coming to light in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Friday. The first attack took place at the main gate of the police station and the second took place inside the mosque in the complex. About three people were killed and six others were injured in the suicide blast.

The roof of the mosque collapsed
Police said they believed it to be a suicide bombing. Police said about three people were killed and six others were injured in the blast. “The roof of the mosque collapsed due to the impact of the blast,” Hangu district police officer Nisar Ahmed was quoted as saying in a report in the local Dawn newspaper.
First attack on the main gate of the police station
Hangu District Police Officer Nisar Ahmed said that the first blast took place at the entrance of the police station, after which many people gathered at the spot. A few minutes later, another explosion occurred inside a mosque located in the police station premises.
DPO Ahmed said that the second blast occurred during Namaz on Friday. “The roof of the mosque collapsed due to the impact of the blast,” the official said. He said that about 30 to 40 people are reported to be trapped under the debris.
People engaged in rescue operations
The officer further said that heavy machinery had been called in to remove the bodies and injured persons. Rescue 1122 teams and local people present at the site are engaged in the rescue operation. However, till now no one has taken responsibility for the attack.
52 people died in Balochistan
It is known that today a suicide explosion took place near Madina Mosque on Al Falah Road in Mastung district of Balochistan province of Pakistan. It is reported that about 52 people were killed and more than 50 people were injured in this attack. Just hours after this incident, news of a second attack has emerged from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
