MG Comet comes with fast charger
MG Motors is rapidly updating its portfolio in India. In this sequence, the company has launched new variants of Hector and ZS EV some time ago. After this, the car Comet, which is offered as the cheapest electric car by the company, has been launched with the facility of fast charger. Since the launch of MG’s Comet EV, till now only 3.3 kW AC charger was available. But now the option of 7.4 kW AC charger is also given in it. However, this option will be available only in the top two variants Excite and Exclusive FC.
After giving the option of fast charger, the company has not given information about how much time the car can be charged through fast charging. Apart from providing the option of fast charger, MG has also added some new features to the Comet.
How are the features?
The top variants in which fast charging facility is being offered. Features like rear disc brake, electronic parking brake, ESC, hill hold control, body colored power foldable wing mirrors, turn indicator integrated DRL, creep mode are included in them.
What is the range
Comet is offered by MG Motors with a 17.3 kWh battery. Due to which the car can be driven up to 230 kilometers after full charge. The single electric motor provided in it provides 42 horse power and 110 Newton meter torque.
How much is the price
After adding the new fast charging option and new features, the ex-showroom price of the Excite FC variant has been kept at Rs 8.23 lakh and the ex-showroom price of the Exclusive FC variant has been kept at Rs 9.13 lakh. A total of five variants are now being offered in Comet, which include Executive priced at Rs 6.98 lakh, Excite priced at Rs 7.88 lakh, Excite FC priced at Rs 8.23 lakh, Exclusive priced at Rs 8.78 lakh and Excite priced at Rs 9.13 lakh. Exclusive FC variant can be purchased at Rs.
