Kate Hudson appeared on Thursday’s episode of “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.” The self-titled late-night presenter had a conversation with the Oscar-nominated actress over her first album, “Glorious.” In addition, she gave a musical performance during the program.
Wearing a garment from the Roberto Cavalli Spring 2024 ready-to-wear line, Hudson flaunted her penchant for a rocker-chic aesthetic for her performance appearance. When Hudson performed, her flowing cape was fully visible over her white gown with gray splotches.
After a fun conversation with presenter Jimmy Fallon in which the two played a competitive game of Catchphrase, Hudson made her musical debut in a stunning long white dress with tasseled sleeves and a plunging neckline. Hudson screamed out the popular song, reaching numerous high notes with ease, while grinning radiantly.
“What topic are you referring to? That is the proper method. Come on! Come on! Whoa, that’s incredible. Come on! Kate Hudson. With evident admiration for his Almost Famous co-star’s performance, Fallon said, “That’s how you do it.”
Fallon came out on stage to give Hudson a loving hug as the crowd went wild for her well-rehearsed performance of the song. Fallon said, “Standing ovation, not too shabby,” adding to the celebration of Hudson’s historic achievement.
In addition, there was a scarf element, fabric bands at the cape’s edges, and a delicate corset front clasp in the Roberto Cavalli ensemble. The feathery details, like the bands of cloth at the cape’s ends, were also a part of the ensemble.
Hudson paired her long-sleeved dress with silver bracelets as accessories. During “The Tonight Show” musical performance segment, the Oscar-nominated actress sang her song “Gonna Find Out.”
At Milan Fashion Week in September 2023, Hudson’s performance outfit debuted on the runway. Fausto Puglisi, the designer, drew inspiration for the collection from women “who dress for themselves.”

Their desires are to be free, cheerful, and able to experiment with their clothes. A lot of pink and desert-inspired hues make up the cheerful palette, according to the designer.
Hudson designed a dress specifically for the episode’s interview segment in addition to her performance appearance. Combining a velvet long sleeve shirt with a monotone brown high-waisted leather skirt, Hudson experimented with texture and materials. A gold cuff bracelet and bangles completed her ensemble.
Glorious, Hudson’s debut studio album, will be out on May 17. The actress has demonstrated her singing abilities in movies including the 2009 version of the musical “Nine.” Hudson said that the album had been “two-and-a-half years in the making” in an interview with Fallon.
Hudson conveyed her lifetime passion of music and provided insights into her creative process while looking back on her artistic history. As she prepared to introduce her music to an international audience, she also made vague mentions of future appearances, which included a show at The Bellwether in Los Angeles.
