The woman was threatening some people at the metro station, after which the passengers present there informed the police. A police spokesperson said that out of fear for their safety, police agents used their weapons.

The woman was threatening some people at the metro station, after which the passengers present there informed the police.
The bullet was fired because of security
“Fearing for their safety, police agents used their weapons,” a police spokesman told Reuters. The spokesperson was unable to say what prompted officers to shoot the woman.
The hijab-wearing woman was shot in the stomach
The woman’s behavior at the Bibliothèque Nationale de France station led officers to shoot her. The woman was shot in the stomach, due to which she was immediately admitted to the hospital. According to police sources, the woman’s behavior indicated possible Islamic terrorist motivation. Police said that the metro station had been evacuated.
