A heart-wrenching incident of crime has come to light. An Indian-origin husband and wife and their two minor children have been found dead in their own home in New Jersey, America. New Jersey Police is investigating this case as a murder. The deceased have been identified as Tej Pratap Singh, 43, and his wife Sonal Parihar, 42, the Plainsboro Police Department said. The couple’s children aged 10 and 6 were also found dead. According to police, the four bodies were recovered around 4:30 pm on Wednesday, US time.
There is no major threat to the general public
Regarding the crime, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Plainsboro Police Department Chief Eamon Blanchard said that the police are investigating the cause of death from the angle of murder. According to reports, officers received a 911 call in Plainsboro on the evening of October 4. The police who arrived to investigate found four dead bodies inside the house. Post mortem of the dead bodies is being done. According to the police, initial investigation has revealed that there is no major threat to the general public.
Husband and wife were community-active
Police have also appealed to anyone with information related to this case to contact the Plainsboro Police Department. According to the report, some untoward incidents in the family came to light when a relative called. CBS News report quoting relatives said that the news of the death of all four is shocking because this Indian-origin couple was living a happy life with children. Tej Pratap Singh was especially active in community work.
Couple of Engineers and HR Professional
Media reports after the death said that according to his LinkedIn profile, Tej Ness was working as a Lead APIX Engineer for Digital Engineering. According to relatives, Tej was an IT professional, while his wife Sonal Parihar was an HR professional.

One of the children, Wikoff, and one attended Millstone River School, News 12 New Jersey reports. According to reports, Tej Singh and Sonal Parihar bought their house for US$6.35 lakh (about Rs 5.28 crore) in August 2018. Neighbors also described the family as friendly. A woman, speaking on condition of anonymity, said her daughter usually met a 6-year-old girl at the bus stop on her way to school, but it felt strange not to see the girl. According to the woman, she also sent a message to Parihar that morning but did not receive any reply.
