BMW has launched two of its variants in the Indian market, which are the i7 M70 xDrive and the 740d M Sport. The car is called the BMW 740 d M Sport, which is being manufactured locally at the BMW Group plant in Chennai. The price of this car is Rs 1.81 crore (ex-showroom). Whereas the price of the i7 M70 xDrive is Rs 2.50 crore (all prices, ex-showroom). It is available as a completely built (CBU) unit.

The new BMW 740d M Sport is powered by a 3.0-litre, six-cylinder diesel engine that produces an output of 286bhp and 650Nm of torque. Apart from this, a 48V mild-hybrid system is also available which generates 18bhp and 200Nm torque. It has an eight-speed automatic transmission. The car accelerates from 0-100 kmph in 6 seconds.
New BMW 7 Series 740d M Sport Features
Highlights include BMW crystal lights and LED DRL with Swarovski crystals. It has LED headlamps. Elsewhere, it gets adaptive air suspension, an M Sport design package, an automatic tailgate, a comfort access system, a soft-close function for doors, four-zone climate control, and a 31.3-inch screen for the second-row occupants.

The BMW i7 M70 xDrive accelerates from 0-100 kmph in 3.7 seconds with a top speed of 250 kmph. It has an output of 660hp and a maximum torque of 1,100Nm. It has a lithium-ion recyclable battery with a total capacity of 101.7kWh providing a range of up to 560 km (WLTP). The BMW i7 M70 comes with a BMW Volvox charger with xDrive installation. You can even charge it at home safely and comfortably at up to 22kW.
